Books I index win awards in their disciplines. The index is a crucial component of an outstanding publication. I create indexes for academic and trade books and journals, as well as government and private industry documents. I have been an indexer for over twenty years. I do not use AI at any stage in the indexing process. Academic books, particularly complex ones, benefit from the thoughtful attention that only a human indexer can provide.
